I especially love how none of the bystanders seem to notice this guy running around barefoot, leaping off buildings. Of course, it is supposed to be set in NYC, where folks are used to seeing just about anyt hing. Also Jane is going to have lighten up a bit - I know we are doing > > angst here but she is getting to be a neurotic pain. >> Yeah, I'm afraid the actress doesn't do subtle variations very well. The "I can't love you" is getting pretty lame as well, but does allow for different kinds of conflictedness. I see basically the same anguished look, whether it's the moral dilemma of withholding evidence, remembrance of her slain boyfriend, worry over John getting killed for interfering, concerns for her career, questioning the "rightness" of her attraction to John, balancing her personal life and work, etc. Most of the time she looks like she's doing the visuals for a rock video. <<> I also like to watch > Fimmel run - he runs really well. > I see what Lucy means about his getting into character -- learning ape mannerisms, tumbling and all. Frankly, I don't care how "authentic" his perch on ledges is. Don't get me wrong, I think he's doing pretty well with what he had and what he has to work with. But your Lassie comparison is painfully appropriate. I mean, I enjoyed watching Argo run and sometimes kick butt, but if she'd been expected to hold a conversation, I might've been disappointed. - -- Ife ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Nothing really new but I found it amusing. Kevin rants about being cheated and Lucy simply says they would like to look at the books. But Lassie lasted quite a few seasons, and when Timmy finally got old enough to stop falling into wells, the recast and found new characters to be in peril each week. Throughout it all Lassie did manage to be more intelligent than all the humans put together. > Of course, >it is supposed to be set in NYC, where folks are used to seeing just about >anything. Most of the action scenes would pass for a normal day's activities ;) I wonder if they bother to get extras for the long shots. > Also Jane is going to have lighten up a bit - I know we are doing > > > angst here but she is getting to be a neurotic pain. >> I think she is going to remain that way, that's really the only thing that makes her somewhat interesting. > > I do like her partner though so perhaps Tarzan can save him now and then. I can just guess that that's probably in store for next week or so. It would be a good device to get him firmly on John's 'side'. I still haven't figured out what purpose Jane's ?niece? serves. Other than an occasional probing question she has been not much more than set dressing. She does however seem to be the only one with any perception of Jane's emotional state. The show has gone from total barker to mindlessly pleasant diversion. With any luck it might actually turn into something good. Lucy's experience, not to mention contacts, my well provide the behind the scenes catalyst. Let's hope, right now it's our only weekly does of Lucy. Now maybe Renee as the weekly victim to be saved................... LeeD ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
