Did I miss an explanation about how you're coming up with these eps? Just picking favorites at random? Enjoying the freedom from having to do them in sequence? Trying to wiggle out of starting the reviews over again? I'm not complaining, just curious. - -- Ife ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. She protected Gabrielle for the entire season and this was her first encounter with her friend's likely death ....something she never wanted to face and for a time was all out of her control." Excellent point! Xena is a control freak and as she said once she doesn't accept defeat there are always options. Yet here she was and she had run out of options - her friend was dead and she couldn't fix it (well she did finally). I doubt that she ever considered that Gabrielle would actually be killed afterall she was going to always orotect her friend and suddenly she fails - again. Now if you put that in context of Lyceus, Borias, Cyane, and Akemi - all the people she failed in the past Xena's breakdown makes perfect sense. "Also, I happen to think this was LL's finest 3 minutes of acting. I was totally swept away with the emotion Xena was feeling and inability to give up was so real to me." I agree absolutely. Lucy was wonderful as grief and raged warred in her. CherylA ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
