I've been forwarding the spammer's bounced mail to Juno's postmaster and the postmaster of the other domains. The crap started trickling down and now I haven't received any of it in two days. ***************************************************************** Call me slow-- (No, really don't. That was rhetorical. I'm very sensitive.;-) about a month ago, I finally heard the funny and touching song "If I could Be Like Xena." For al I know, 90 percent of you are now thinking, "He's never heard that before. Where has he been?" :~) I've been trying to figure out mp3s, so I checked out several books from the library. "MP3 For Musicians" by John Hedtke and Sandy Bradley (copyright 2000 - Top Floor Publishing) has the entire song "If I could Be Like Xena" on it's accompanying CD. And in chapter 11, "If I could Be Like Xena" is the solo example song in eight photos. It is used to show how many ways the mp3 player "winamp" can be displayed. But the mp3 tag, where the composer and performer info should be displayed is empty. Which was very odd. I'm assuming the publisher had permisson to use the song. So, I did a google and found the writer/performer's site. www.Marilynrucker.com The song is from Marilyn Rucker's album "Voyeur Princess." Plus, Marilyn Rucker has 1:30 "If I could Be Like Xena" that can be downloaded. "MP3 For Musicians" has the entire 4 minute song on it's disc. The lyrics are on Xena several web sites. Here is one-- http://www.holysmoke.org/sdhok/xena1.htm Anyway-- as I said--funny and sweet song. Any beutifully performed. Marilyn Rucker is quite a talent. "MP3 For Musicians" seems to be a popular book that you could get through any fairly large library system. Or buy "Voyeur Princess." :~) ************************************************************************* *************************** "Always keep your bowler on in times of stress and watch out for diabolical masterminds." - --EMMA PEEL ************************************************************************* *************************** ________________________________________________________________ Sign Up for Juno Platinum Internet Access Today Only $9.95 per month!
