Shocked me at first, then realized it was Kevin Smith, but with a completely different sound s : ). There he was, sitting on another throne with skulls attached. Who's voice was it? Finally, after more than a year waiting for the movie, the film has been shot in New Zealand in 2001 and finished in early 2002 > I can't answer your question, but i have another one. > Does anyone know why his voice was dubbed? Just a guess here, but since the movie was filmed in NZ, and it looked like Kevin's scenes were filmed outside, they may have had a need to redo the dialogue especially if it was cicada season. And by the time they got to that point, Kevin may have no longer been around -- hence the need to have all of his dialogue dubbed by another actor. - -- Cousin Liz eas01@fast.net Soulmates Xena Dinosaur Bards http://cousinliz.com ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. I suspect that the looping hadn't been completed when Kevin died so the producers had to get some one else to that and since the voices didn't match they just had that actor redo Kevin's dialog. I've still been going to them, although not as many Creation > ones lately...(especially since Creation keeps lessening the Xena > content/guests/emphasis and combining em with Trek cons, sigh). Well I still go. Not as often since I have seen many of the actors numerous times. I still haven't decided on the New York one. I may go if a friend drives. If you haven been to a Xena con the New York one should be a nice experience especially with Hudson being there. If you can try to do the charity breakfast because there you meet the actors and talk them and it is fun. I think > I'm gonna go to the Brooklyn, NY Creation "salute to strong women of > sci-fi" one in August, cuz it has HUDSON, Danielle, Claire and Alex so > far...I am also *definitely* going to 2 Buffy cons (which will be my first > Buffy con experiences! Has anyone been to a Buffy con? No Buffy cons. I think Creations had problems with the guy who played Xander not showing up. Anyway I'm sure the ones you are attending will be fun. Don't worry about meeting people. Just be friendly - talk to people in line. If Buffy fans are like Xena fans I'm sure they will be friendly. Actually, if I go it'll be my 9th Creation con. :) The breakfasts have become my fave part, so I hope they have one in NY; there hasn't been one at the last 2 I went to. :( > No Buffy cons. He's a good guy, I have friends who've met him at other cons...I'm excited about meeting James Marsters (Spike) though! -Sarah- ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Hey... you got cicadas in N.Z.?!! Are they native (at least back to Big Canoe times), or recent immigrants? TEXena Who still wonders if the 'Monarch*' butterfly caterpillers she saw there and the milkweed she saw it on were native *I think you have a different name for what we call 'Monarchs' ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
