Brunnhilde was another character I liked instantly. In fact most of the supporting characters in this 3-parter were thoroughly likeable. You could include Grinhilde in that. Odin I felt was miscast but I didn't dislike him. Actually, the Odin in 'Norse by Norsevest' fitted the role much better, I thought. At least they didn't try to give the horses wings, and just as well too. And the sky backgrounds were truly magnificent. This ain't the FIRST post I've had with an "ICKY-POO--wash your mouth out with SOAP!" response. I threw them in just because it's possible. And because I have always figured that Rob gave us four endings to the series. FIN, the Clones (the real deal, resorted and in the 21st Century), Annie and Maddie (the grrls reincarnated--hey, they could have them hypnotize themselves and send themselves back into ANY former life time) and just to be sweet, Rob gave us Many Happy Returns, with X&G literally flying off into the sunset. I hadn't really thought about Mel and Janice, but of course they could be picked up too. Like you though, if we get Xena back I want XENA back. Personally if they did one of these, I would prefer them to do the Clones over any others, because that IS Xena. A post reformation Xena. My first druthers though is to continue after restoring Xena in FIN. The NEXT movie could be about the clones. Hey she can join all the Xenaverse webmasters, artists, fanfic writers, screengrabbers and everyone else who has done creative things using the images from the show. I checked out the Creation script and it goes like this..... Act Three 16 Int Gurkhan's main room - day - continuing As before. Xena is picked up by the guards and carried off. Gabrielle turns around to see Lana and Milda eyeing her angrily. 17 Int. Harem bedroom - night All the wives are cuddled up together on large communal mattress. Gabrielle anters and sits down. She throws a look at Lana who's staring at her. Gabrielle What are you looking at? Lana Any enemy of Sophia is an enemy of us. Milda We'll be keeping an eye on you, pretty one. I was thinking of kicking you around myself because the Gurkhans paid too much attention to you. Gabrielle Be careful of who you tangle with, little girl. You might be getting more than you bargained for. Milda I doubt that. She slaps Gabrielle. Gabrielle lays into her. A CAT FIGHT They roll around on the mattresses, clawing at each other for a few moments but basically this is short and sweet. Once Gabrielle gets to her feet, she drubs Milda pretty good. Milda All right, I'm done. Gabrielle looks round the room. Gabrielle Anyone else have a problem? Nobody has a problem. Gabrielle sits down next to Lana and a battered Milda. Lana looks at her with hate. Milda eyes her with fear. Gabrielle Want to hear something funny? Lana and Milda give each other questioning looks. They don't know how to answer that. Gabrielle I know now that you two are the only ones here I can trust. Off the confused looks of Milda and Lana, we: CUT TO: OK, the said what happened, but I couldn't work out which ones were Lana and Milda, so I had to get the tape out. Remember the harem bath scene when Xena first arrives... Milda is the one who says " How bad is this? My entire village isn't worth what Gurkhan must have paid for a barrel of that perfumed oil". Lana is the one Xena goes to talk to at the end of the bath. She is standing in the water next to Xena when Sarah appears first. She is the one who says " I think I would rather be dead than in this place" as Sarah arrives. Hope that helps, Ann ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. In fact there once was a rumor that RT was working a series set in the Middle Ages and I thought this actor would have made a great lead especially after he got his own sidekick in ROTV. In fact most of the supporting characters in this 3-parter were thoroughly likeable. You could include Grinhilde in that. Odin I felt was miscast but I didn't dislike him." The guest cast was outstanding in these episodes. Odin I thought was good. Yes the Odin from Hercules was more dignified but this Odin had to be more vulnerable and bit dense and I thought the actor pulled it off. > > "Those sky scenes were impressive. Probably the one thing Evil Xena did that most disconcerted me." Yes I think that scene and the scene where Xena spits at the boy Ming Tien are shocking in their pure meanness. Xena isn't being cruel or ruthless just plain mean. It's hard to see the hero be this way but then again it points out why Xena is so ashamed of herself. It perhaps shows the intriguity of the creators of the show that they never softened the young Xena - here it is the sixth season and young Xena is as nasty as ever. > > " Hmm, I found him pessimistic but not depressing, strangely enough.
