The gist of the interview was that they had a date set and it "was coming", but Gina didn't reveal it (she sounded apprehensive about the *stress* of the situation, etc., at least that was my interpretation). She's got second billing in Firefly, I noticed, so that's great for her, but like I said earlier, I'm not sure that the plots are strong enough for the series to stick around too long......;( Just FYI, - --Jackie ****************************************************** * Proud to have the same birthday as Lucy Lawless! * * * * "I think New Zealand geographically comes from * * ... I think, besides her impulsiveness, she had a good streak of common sense, and she was, I think, intelligent. So I expect she would have got into trouble for breaking the rules, but after the first time or two she would have drawn the obvious inference and decided that if she wanted to be an Amazon, she had to play by their rules (or at least, exercise some judgement about when and when not to break them ;) > Regardless of how much further along she > was than Tara, I'm not sure she would've committed to living as a *real* > (rather than fantasy) Amazon without X&G. Whether her experience with X & G would have been enough to make the difference - umm, I don't really know. I'll grant that it's possible. As it was, for whatever reason, she apparently found Amazon society congenial or at least tolerable, though for a rather tragically short period before she went missing. cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Hi, Ann, welcome to the club. :) ("I wouldn't want to belong to any club that would have me as a member" - Callisto, stealing shamelessly from Groucho Marx) > Amarice was irritating at > first and I was not happy to see her reappear, but she definitely grew on > me - as she grew herself. Interesting, because I liked Amarice straight off but found Gabby irritating and she slowly grew on me. So our reactions are exact mirrors of each other. Curious, that. Actually, Amarice and early Gabby shared quite a number of characteristics, now I think of it - a bit 'pushy', very confident, a little naive about some things, likely to get themselves into trouble, oh yes, and determined to hang with Xena. The main difference was Gabby disapproved of killing people and Amarice didn't. But they come across as very different characters - I guess maybe due to the personalities of ROC and Jennifer Sky. cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Mr Sorbo is a one-note actor to me - fortunately his one-note was reasonably okay for Hercules, as created by RenPac. And seems that Andromeda fits too. I'm sure RenPac musta sometimes wished that Mr Sorbo had the range and depth that Ms Lawless clearly brought to XWP.
