I do think it's a marvellous bit of cinematography when they abruptly cut from the present to that cool, blue, calm, leisurely crucifixion scene. In fact while most directors would have accompanied such a scene with screaming violins, RT (or LoDuca?) uses some cool, almost beautiful music in stark contrast to the slow-motion nightmarish preparations for the crucifixion. I reckon that's marvellous television. > Xena indeed recovers from the beating and she in a bad mood - she lost her > friend and a good chewing tooth. Loved Xena's delivery of that one-liner: X: She's too dangerous a girl to leave on the loose. She likes killing too much. G: But she beat you up so badly. X: Well, that's another reason. > Kathryn Morris did an outstanding job as Najara. I'm afraid I couldn't credit her as a dangerous warrior. I just can't believe the fight in the tavern where Najara wipes the floor with Xena. She was flaky enough but she just didn't have the looks of someone who could physically beat up Xena. Heck, I'd back Amarice against Najara, any day. Just IMO. Callisto, now, was no bigger than Najara (IIRC), but Hudson had such intensity that I could believe anything of her. cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. Okay, so that meant I could fast-forward through everything except the first and last few minutes. Heh. Anyway, here goes: 1. In the beginning, X pulls on, then trips G so they can hit the ground when the bandits send that bazooka cart their way. 2. G pats X on the stomach at the end after they meet up again. - -- Ife ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
