I only know Michelle Yeoh from being the co-star (I won't say 'Bond girl 'cos IMO she was far more than that!) in one of the more recent James Bond movies. Tomorrow Never Dies, IIRC, as recent Bond movies go it was one of the better ones IMO. She played a Chinese agent working with Bond, James Bond (HEY! I just figured out where Caesar, Julius Caesar borrowed his style of address from. Reckon it was a 'homage'? Probably :) Anyway, to get back to the point, Michelle Yeoh was damn good and IMO just about stole the show from James Bond. Good looking, a good actor, and perfectly convincing doing the fights. cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. LL, yes, IMO she'd suit it perfectly BUT I don't think it would suit her. cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. It just seemed to me to be an episode where the cast relaxed and enjoyed themselves. What I call a 'good-natured' episode. A bit like Lyre Lyre in that respect. IIRC, nobody got killed in this ep. Which makes me wonder, how many Xena eps were there where nobody got killed? Most of the comedies, I suppose. Was that an invariable rule, that people got killed in the dramas but nobody got killed in the comedies? Hmm, obviously not an invariable rule - Royal Couple of Thieves for example, several characters carked it. OK, were there any dramas where nobody got killed? Anybody? cr ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. They could just hire an overall short cast. :) There are ways to deal with these things. I'm embarrassed to say I didn't think of her until her name came up here ... but I agree she would be good in the role. Meredith meth@smoe.org Sign up for SBC Yahoo! This was season 4 and while she threw her staff with pinpoint accuracy in season one's "Greater Good", you would think a spear would not be a problem. Also, in Ides she drills the Roman soldier with a spear throw that hits dead center (no pun intended). With Xena's life in danger, Gabby always hit her target, so for me, I would have to say either she let her mind psyche herself out (this was Gabby's soul searching season) OR perhaps the distance to Flanagus was greater than the times she saved Xena. And it was filmed so blatently that the spear didn't just miss, it wasn't in the same battlefield. Gab chocked, she had to so that a significant character would die under her command, then Xena could (not)comfort her. She certainly came a long way 2 seasons later in "Saving Hoplite Ryanae" ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
