Wouldja believe, Killer Bunny got *cut* by some stations?   Obviously little

I was watching the Director's Cut commentary last night, and I have to admit 
that LL did mention in several places that she thought they had made the 
subtext explicit in that episode.    (I disagree with LL there, btw).

The first mention was in reference to Akemi, but also (IIRC) in reference to 
the fact that Gabrielle might have been presumed to be jealous of Akemi - 
hence tying it back to the X-G subtext.

On the other hand, she certainly didn't (to my way of thinking) seem to be at 
all surprised by its presence - its existence wasn't any revelation to her.

First, hello. I'm new to this list. The name is Xena Torres and I used to 
run the PNW Online Xena Fan Club. In case you were a surfer and wondered 
what happened, evil Yahoo changed my password and will not give me the new 
one. :( But, on the bright side, it's making me stay hard at work on an all 
new website I will be launching in about one year: The "Xena: Warrior 
Princess" Nitpicker's Guild.
The "Xena: Warrior Princess" Nitpicker's Guild will be THE ultimate Xena for 
just goobs and goobs of info. One stop shopping if you will. Transcripts 
(with pictures and sounds), bios (ALL character and main and guest and 
supporting actors), timelines, family trees, interviews with cast and crew, 
the Nitpicker's Guild itself and so much more.
Currently, I am hard at work completing the season six transcripts (only 
four to go!) and then touching up all the previous seasons. While doing 
this, I have discovered a need for the ACTUAL scripts to several episodes 
due to character confussion that cannot be answered with the episode or cast 
lists. If anyone has the script to any of the following eps, could you 
please email me so I may ask you some questions about characters in the 
script:

Adventures in the Sin Trade
Adventures in the Sin Trade II
Who's Gurkhan?
Last of the Centaurs
When Fates Collide

EVERY episode of "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" as well as ALL episodes 
of "Young Hercules." I will pay or trade stuff from my Xena video collection 
(probably one of the biggest if not the biggest in the world) with 
interviews, specials and other roles many actors have done (Lucy Lawless, 
Renee O'Connor, Claire Stansfield, Adrienne Wilkinson, Kevin Smith, Bruce 
Campbell, Hudson Leick, and SO many more)

 Heh, I was gonna mention this last night but Meredith beat me to the
punch... :) As soon as I saw her name in the opening credits I was on the
lookout...after a few secs I deduced she was the psychiatrist, although
she sure looked (and sounded) different! (Later when she became Psycho
Killer Goth she looked slightly more Morrigan-esque, lol...) The whole
episode I was going on about Tamara Gorski this and that, and my
roommate was like, uh, whatever. :) Anyway, twas good to see her again.
She was on an ep of "Angel" a long while back too, I think, although I
don't think I saw it...?

Same here.  I just rewatched it the other day and got a kick out of all the 
things you mentioned.  I thought the extras also did a good job of being 
appropriately disgusted at the two people Joxer had sold as tough, 
no-nonsense, top-flight warriors.  Oh, and a funny moment you didn't mention 
- -- after Xena has knocked the villain out at the end and then steps on him.  
Plus, his conceit that having Argo would help him rule the world.  He 
obviously didn't know that applied only to Xena.   <g>

Uhmm perhaps they thought it put them off the Easter Bunny.  It is odd the
things people choose to censor.  I was in a video store once and a lady
asked 8f Cujo would be appropriate for her 7 year old to watch.  I said that
I though the sight of the child in the car dying from shock and heat stroke
would be too much for a child.  She then asked if there was sex in the film
and I said that I didn't remember any. So she rented the film - so I guess
it's alright for her kid to watch a 7 year old slowly die but not see two
people make love.  Talk about weird.

Yes, I thought about Lucy saying that too and was glad she got a chance like

impressed her.

Have you heard the soundtrack?  I get a bit misty whenever I play the last 
piece from FIN -- "Battle with Yodoshi" I think.  I'm almost certain there's 
an extra Xena theme in it that I didn't hear in either the regular or DC 
versions of the ep.  Adds even more poignancy.

I have had my misgivings about some aspects of season 4 but I really though
it was one of the best planned of the series.  Each episode seemed to
logically lead to the next.  So I guess  TPTB really did have a naster plan
that they pretty much stuck to.
