Cravat teemed up with former acrobatics partner Burt Lancaster for 2 or 3 movies, all of which think he played a mute. I remember seeing one of these ages ago (The Crimson Pirate?) Cravat was a tiny guy who could some amazing acrobatics. And then there is Disney Zorro series. Zorro had a mute sidekick. I've recorded some episode of that for my sister who loved the show when she was a kid. The sidekick is way too pudgy to do any acrobatics, but he was very dexterous with his hands ( doing a lot of close up magic) and excellent with body language. Part of the fun of Zorro was probably seeing how skillfully the sidekick was able to communicate with the hero. Anyway, both the TV show and the movies are from the 50s, and considering the age of the creators of X:WP (and any of the other contributors to the intial creation) most had probably watched these when they were children. ************************************************************************* *************************** "Always keep your bowler on in times of stress and watch out for diabolical masterminds." - --EMMA PEEL ************************************************************************* *************************** ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! That black bar on the bottom is ugly, it won't shut up, and it keeps trying to get the viewer to buy things. ************************************************************************* *************************** "Always keep your bowler on in times of stress and watch out for diabolical masterminds." - --EMMA PEEL ************************************************************************* *************************** ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
