Oh yes he did idolize Xena and like you I did enjoy his recitation of her victories (up till then we really haven't had much info on Xena's warlord days). However I thinj he was more dangerous then just a wanna be. He had fighting skills and guts but lacked, as Xena noted, the killer instinct. Perhaps Xena understood that if Palemon did get killed first he would develope that killer instinct and he would be lost like she had been. In someways she his Hercules showing him that right path - I just don't know if Vidlius was going to be his Gabrielle ;-). "Her indignance coupled with her, "Ohh, FOOD!" cracked me up!" Hey a girl's gotta eat and if you are going to be held captive it's nice to know the food is good.
