Wilson" Subject: [chakram-refugees] Xena question for discussion Things have been a little quit here so I though I would ppse a question for the list to ponder What episode of Xena are you embarrassed to admit that you really liked. I loved Tsunami. I liked the muted subtext between Xena and Gabrielle, the May - - December romance, the Autolycus and the dopy solution of swimming up out the water with wine skins full of carbon dioxide ( I also love the way Xena or Lucy rolls her eyes after announcing this absurd plan of escape). Come on what is yours - Fishstix, King Con, Forgiven, Lyre, Lyre (I ;oved that one too) - fess up. I just saw it on Power Star. I always like there season reviews ( I don't always agree with it - it hated One Against An Army and loved the 5th season) but they are worth reading. I think it's worth getting. CherylA ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list. OK. I confess. I liked Giant Killer. That episode usually takes a beating from the fans because of the weak actor who portrayed David (I didn't like him either) and the biblical plot line (I didn't care). I really enjoyed the friendship between Xena and Goliath. The plot made for a complex situation between the two of them with no easy answers. Also, I really enjoyed the actor who played Goliath. The Xena/Gab subtext scene in at the bedroom window with the approaching storm in the background is a beautiful classic. BTW, Cheryl, I always like Tsunami, too. I guess my embarassment could fall under "Married With Fishwhatever". The episode, I think, was just a TPTB superduper-brainfart. There's literally nowhere in the XWP canon that it fits. But it had a cute moment in it that had me rolling - the Lolita scene. :) S. - --- Cheryl Ande wrote: > Things have been a little quit here so I though I would ppse a > question for > the list to ponder > > What episode of Xena are you embarrassed to admit that you really > liked.
