Tisiphone, I got your msg about the kites. Tried to reply, but my message was bounced back to me. I estimate the total cost to be around 8 or 9 bucks, kite, packaging, shipping. I'm heading out tomorrow to check if they have them, about 5 or 6pm your time, if you want to catch me beforehand. (Do you have a different email address I can try?) S. Check out Yahoo! I can't believw we now have to wait another year for the 2nd in the trilogy! :) Anyway, the only Xena person I spotted in this one was Marton Csokas (as Celeborn, I think?), and he had only one very brief scene alongside Cate Blanchett...so apparently Karl Urban, Jay Laga'aia, etc. don't come until the 2nd one...or did anyone else spot any others? I was looking...oh, and the gorgeous New Zealand landscapes deserved a billing in the credits, I remember thinking how I loved seeing that countryside every week on Xena. :) And I cheered inside when I saw Ngila Dickson's name onscreen as costume designer, she really outdid herself this time! By the way, director Peter Jackson makes a reeally brief cameo not too long into the movie, as a random bum guy on the street, which is also the cameo role he played in his previous film "Heavenly Creatures". :) I thought it was him, but he's not listed in the credits...but according to others on the HC list I'm on, it was indeed Peter. -Sarah, aka the abbagirl- P.S. The Golden Globes nominations were announced today, and LOTR is up for several...as is the kick-ass new spy chick show we've been mentioning on and off, "Alias," yay! :) Buffy, however, got snubbed as always, grr... P.P.S. I can't believe Renee O'Connor's gonna be at the next Pasadena con! Damn, I wanna go now... ========================================================= This has been a message to the chakram-refugees list.
