Not quite: the full thought, perhaps not well expressed, was that \I/ as an
outsider had no right to complain about how others utilize their own

Yes, it's not 'all right' to use the religious practices of some other
group as the basis of a dirty joke, something distinctly more than just "a
little send-up".  In this society of ours based on diversity, it is
ill-done to employ gutter humor toward another group.  Not that it isn't
done (witness the surge of such crud with an anti-Arab/Mohammedan bent
rolling around the Net).  It IS done.  It SHOULDN'T be.

(Make all the jokes you like about the Pope and I'll whoop along with
everybody else [at the funny ones].  But, however humorously, diss the
Dalai Lama or Baha Ullah or even the unfortunately named Angel Moroni, and
I'll jump down your throat.)

ARE they?  Lucy by her own admission is "recovering" from that condition.
But both Raimi and Tapert, from all I've read, are from Jewish backgrounds.
(If you have evidence to the contrary, please direct me to it.)  Now, you
might be under that impression because of the full church wedding at St.
Monica's, but with the relaxation of Church regulations, this is no
indication that Bob converted.  (Tho of course, however dubious for
marrying a wife who is, herself, at best only minimally Catholic, it \is/
possible.)

It would \not/ have been "perfectly acceptable", but less societally inept.

Most of the rest of what you wrote was, unfortunately, irrelevant to what
was actually in my post.

Moreover, I never defended the protesting Hindus.  I simply made the
(downright radical in Xenite circles) assumption that at least some of them
might have been sincere and--

*Man*, I've never seen LL look better or more relaxed than she did on
Kilborn last night, and I still *hate* Kilborn but *love* LL even more!!!
;=)  The only time I can remember her looking so playful and confident was
on her first US interview on Mike and Maty in '96 (you "old-timers"
remember?!? ;) ), where she was somewhat *intoxicated* with being a
"star" and having her own show, but still down-to-earth nonetheless.

She definitely looked as if she'd been *freed* from some great burden (the
show ;( ), and was having a *great time* just picking and choosing what
she'd do next. ;)  Thelonius was right, I think if you saw the Kilborn
interview, it pretty much gave away what Sharon said was LL's "surprise".
;P

And for those still *pining away* for her to return to XWP, she pretty
much put a cap on it when Kilborn asked her if she'd come back, by saying
"no" in very polite terms. ;(

I'm still trying to figure out why she had such *great chemistry* with
Kilborn (whom I still *hate* if you didn't figure that out yet ;P ), but
not very much with Leno or Letterman??

And for those who haven't seen it yet, she gets off on saying "vagina"
multiple times. ;)  Justa *warn* ya. ;)

I third that ... I had it on TiVo, but ensuing confusion led it to delete 
the recording before I could watch it and dump it to tape.  Argh!!!

Was Lucy on ET last night???  TiVo did get that for me, but I just went 
backwards and forwards through it and I didn't see her anywhere.

So ***what*** was this "surprise" everyone is talking about???

She's near the beginning, when they're talking about the premiere of "Black 
Knight".

She said on Craig Kilborn that she was going to get a haircut on Friday.
Unfortunately the ET piece was shot on Thursday night, so there hasn't yet 
been a debut of her new look (except for hair color-- as seen on ET and 
Kilborn she's back to her natural "mouse").

pah! i was hoping it was going to be something to the effect that she's 
going to be in 6 or 7 more x-f eps. another dream dashed, yet i go bravely 
on. <scratching head> i've always thought lucy looked just fine in mouse. i 
was rather hoping it would be mouse on x-f. of course her current mouse is 
high class mouse. not pre-xena mouse. it matters.

btw, i'm going to be getting all *my* hairs cut in a week or so in case 
anyone wants to know. i am available for interviews, on-line chats, guest 
spots and the like to discuss this exciting turn of events. i know many of 
you will be disappointed and some of my loyal fans may be hurt, but a woman 
has to do what she has to do.

apologizing in advance for any stress my impending coiffure rearrangement 
may cause.
