Join Emm Gryner and friends in helping the Canadian Red Cross provide badly needed relief supplies and services to the Kosovar refugees and other victims of the crisis in the Balkans. Coming off a successful year featuring the release of her album Public and a radio hit with her single Summerlong, Emm Gryner pushes on with the release of a brand new album Science Fair , which will be available in July/August. Catch this rising local star now in the intimate C'est What listening environment before she plays for a crowd of thousands at Lilith Fair in August! The situation in Albania and Macedonia is chaotic. Most of the refugees are women, children and the elderly. The Red Cross is providing essential humanitarian aid to refugees in the conflict area. Red Cross first aid teams are at the borders helping refugees with processing, supplying food, blankets, shoes and access to medical care. The refugee situation is a long term commitment. As thousands of refugees continue to stream out of Kosovo, humanitarian aid is needed now and in the future, Currently, more than 600 Canadian Red Cross staff and thousands of volunteers are providing services to 5.000 refugees. To date, the Canadian Red Cross has raised more than $4.3 million to help provide food, clean water, medicine, blankets and shelter. The mission of the Red Cross is to help people deal with situations that threaten their survival, security, well-being and human dignity in Canada and around the world.
