I hadn't listened to it in a while, someone asked me about her, so I took her CD to the beach with me so they could take a listen and her voice is positively haunting. I read on a website that she is/was 21. Even if the info is out of date, she's still very young, which makes me very jealous :). rox ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ rdfinch@mindspring.com http://roxanne.finch.org "If you can't see dreams, your eyes are blind" Fly--Moxy Fruvous Wanna listen to my personal radio station? Hillside was rated one of the 25 best music festivals in North America (Guitar Magazine, I think) a couple of years ago. Basically, its a roots music festival, BUT, its very inclusive and tries to get a balance between local, national, and international acts. There's music, spoken word, a lot of alternative culture, from a Women's Tent with workshops, speakers, demonstrations (the sex toy one is very popular); to Activists presenting information on various problems, groups, etc; to really, really good food (pakuras (Unidentified Fried Objects - for Tab ;-)), curries, vegan, veggie foods, not your typical festival fare). And _all_, and I mean _ALL_ this is done by volunteers from the committee selecting the bands to the people on toilet and dishwashing duty. Its amazing to be there, its like being in an alternate reality... ..people are nice, polite, they pick up their garbage, they dance, they sing... ...its nirvana for a weekend. :-) But I'm terribly biased. It takes place on Guelph Island (really a peninsula) on a man-made lake in the North of Guelph. Lots of campsites and a (relatively) short drive from Toronto. > >Sarah Slean *** > > I pulled out her CD this past weekend to take with me to the beach...fell > in love with it all over again. She's still a pup :-) BTW, the new CD, will, it will... ROCK, its the only apt description. If you liked _Universe_, you ain't seen nuthin' yet!
