This CD is *amazing*. I kinda concur with Tab about the drum bits. Everyone I play this for (hee hee hee) seems to think Cicero is rock, but I always figured he was folk, with acoustic guitar and all. I really like track two with Emm, that is *such* a cool effect. Pop quiz: what are the seven most important words on the CD for Sarah Slean fans? Anyway, back to the show. I regret showing up late ... if I hadda known Rayanne was playing, I would have left earlier. :( Anyway, Noah was really cool -- it was the first time I had seen him. He put on a neat show, lots of fun to watch. And Emm's bit: Stereochrome was cool. (Paul likes new songs.) When she did the "do you want to hear an old song or one you know really well?" bit and then you hear this resounding "Old Song!!!!" from the crowd, that was _so_ cool. I immediately said "Hook Machine" to whoever was standing next to me. I don't recall hearing it live, so that was neat. Anyway, on to Mr. White. :-) Dylan was great ... I have most of a setlist somewhere, but I'll dig it out later. (I'm writing a show review, that's why I was wandering around with a camera. :) He was really having a good time, chatting with the crowd in between songs. We got lots of the solo acoustic guitar which I love so much. Random comments ... I missed Bev ... the harmonizing with Emm was really cool ... nice shades ... the venue was cool ... i didn't notice the daisies until the end, silly me. I'm having a hard time coming up with stuff to say ... rest assured, it was an awesome show. I'm just looking at my notes, and his fifth song in, which I didn't get the title for (James?) was a standout: did you wonder how the rainfall sounded on your bedroom tonight Dylan's quite a funny guy, too, always had something neat to say..liked the comment about his Mom supposed to like all the songs 'cause she's his Mom. later, Paul PS Saturday, Free Times Cafe, 9 p.m., etc etc shad 96c / 3A CS / mac activist / eda / fumbler fan of / jewel / sophie b. / sarah slean / steve poltz / emm gryner / / x-files / buffy / dawson's creek / habs / bills / 49ers / t h i n k d i f f e r e n t.
