"Out there" sounds fun! :-) Obscure, great! Or maybe its just _me_? Poor TDM, he always gets slammed, but he's a good interviewer if a bit schwarmy. Its something of the Clown Prince of Vancouver, all my B.C. friends chuckle at the mere mention of TDM. I wish there was more of MuchWest/MuchEast, there are a lot of great bands east and west of the Central Ontario corridor... Now how about MuchEAST!!!! This week... EMM GRYNER - Emm made her third trip in six months to the East Coast recently, this time opening up for Big Wreck. She brought her band with her and a brand-spanking new Juno nomination. She talks with us about her career and what it's like to be nominated for an award in the same category as one of her musical heroes - Hayden. ~Andrea! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ICQ: 10294764 AOL IM: TheAndyC http://listen.to/canadianmusic - http://listen.to/boots - http://travel.to/thecomfortzone - canadian-music@smoe.org PROUDLY CANADIAN MUSIC WEB RING http://surf.to/canadianmusic "Fuck 'em all I say, they'll be sorry when the star buries the girl So help me vanish, help me get myself outta here" -Emm Gryner ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 05 Feb 1999 16:38:11 PST From: "Tabassum Siddiqui" Subject: OAC: Melanie Doane - Waiting for the Tide sneak preview Hey, folks... There's an incredible behind-the-scenes look at the video for Melanie Doane's new single, "Waiting for the Tide", at her website - wwww.melaniedoane.com. There's the original treatment from the director, storyboards, photos, and of course a bit of the video itself. It looks just gorgeous and very unique. MuchMusic is supposed to start running it this week, so hopefully they'll air it more than they did "Adam's Rib". They seem to be really behind this video, though, so hopefully... Also be on the lookout for Melanie sporting some Spring fashions in the March issue of Flare. - - Tab :) ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of canadian-music-digest V2 #22 ***********************************
