Rock out in 99'!! - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- BTW Happy New Year - I hope the Canadian Music scene does at least as well this coming year as the past one. :-) The Jan 13 show... ...Aaron Riches rocks! He is Canada's way cool answer to Billy Bragg. A young man with a marvelous voice and a masterful way with a politically-oriented song. A wry sense of humour and a sensitive grasp of the human condition make him a must-see! Liz Powel is also tres cool, she's a staple at the Hillside workshops and used to (?) front a particularly cool young Guelph band The Valentines. I think she has a solo album out now, I've heard a couple of her songs at the last two Hillside shows, great stuff! I'm not _exactly_ sure who the Royal City All-Stars are, but I'm thinkin' DROG and probably lots of guitars. Happy New Year one and all!
