Street release date is Dec 08. This is likely a Canadian-only release, but folks from outside of Canada can order it online from A&B Sounds: http://209.20.164.131/music/search/search.html (do a search on "women & songs"; use the ampersand, not the word 'and') Steve ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Nov 1998 03:44:12 -0500 From: rannie Subject: TORONTO.... this place is JUMPIN!!! Sorry.. this is BIG TIME Cross posting.. but oh well.. i don't have the time to write separate emails to all the different lists i am on.. There is Canadian Content, Wild Strawberries Content, Emm Gryner Content, Jewel Content.. Etc EtC etc so here i GO...This is long.... so feel free to skip it.. but there is alot of cool tidbits... well it looks like Friday is gonna be a BIG day for the wild strawberries.... they are doing much music at 2pm (thanks tab for the info) they are also supposed to do an appearance on rogers cable at 5pm Then they are off to do an appearnce on LIve in Toronto (CFNY 102.1) at 7pm and of course the actual show that night..... at lee's palace (if you go .. say hi to the merchandise/ roadie guy.... THAT'S Me) i heard about the rogers gig from derek the wild strawberries sound guy... i bumped into him at open mike.. when me and my sister went to see jewel.... The jewel appearance wasn't too bad.. although she didn't sing.. although i guess most people might think that is a blessing.. grin.... when i got home.. i got a HUGE surprise.... sorry this is not strawberries related , but oh well... i got this large brown envelope..... i was wondering.. what the hell is this....cause i wasn't expecting anything... when i opened it it was a package from Emm Gryner..... a sign promo pic of her very cute..... signed Rannie all the Best Emm Gryner.... and it also contained a signed Original Leap Year Liner notes.... Rannie I will never forget your name ever again Love Emm Gryner... This package was definitely cool and unexpected.... i was shocked.... Anyways.. lets see... last night i also checked out the PLANET OF THE LOOPS GIG.... it was awesome.... it was out of this world... very hard to describe.. but it was like the soundtrack to a freak SCI-FI movie.... very trippy... if only I was toking.. then it would have been really really trippy... (cd for this will be out soon) anyways.. that's it for now i think..... BTW: who is planning on going to the HUMBLE and FRED christmas eve deal.. with BNL emm Gryner and the WIld Strawberries..... several fumblers and other have talked to me about this.. and it looks like alot of us are interested.... so lemme know.. and maybe we could do a christmas eve rumble at 5 in th morning.. that would be so cool... As well... December 19th which is a saturday i believe is the AFTERNOON i am setting aside to do... the big Toronto HOLIDAY SEASON FUMBLE RUMBLE.... lemme know if you can make it.. still deciding on a venue....to eat... probably go skating or something afterwards..... Hmm trying to think of other notable dates....... December 16th.... Sarah Slean will be playing at the reverb i believe..... December 17th .... The Wild Strawberries are in Buffalo at The Colisieum.. December 6th... The Neilds will be playing in Port Dover... (Mari , Julian and me are going .. still room for one more) As for new years... well my original plan was to go to seattle.. (unfortunately.. i won't be able to afford that...... my next option is to go to DC with Julian.. to visit fumblers around there... this is still way up in the air.... I was also given the option... of going to Montreal for new years with my EX EX Boyfriend... (maybe i dunno... but a bit more realistic) and my last option was to do the usual family thing.... which i have ALWAYS done..... (If i actually go OUT for new years.. it will be the first time in 24 years that it won't be with my family... so we shall see.... think i am done.... Hope everyone has a good weekend.. and great festive season.... I am gonna be busy the next few weeks.. so i dunno how often i will be posting.. aside from the fact that i got unsubbed from FTE.. but i am not running to get back on the list right now.... **************************************************** Rannie Turingan Toronto, Ontario, Canada ICQ:3857207 AIM:ranzTO http://www.geocities.com/WestHollywood/Park/9850/ "We were looking for a word with ambivalence something that suggested both arousal and fear."
