Nettwerk has them > listed in their "Retired Artists" section... the reason ginger has dropped off the planet is because Grapes of Wrath have gotten back together. actually that's not quite right. Tom Hooper and Kevin Kane appear to have patched things up and are playing together under the name of GOW. i don't know what happened to Chris Hooper and Vince Jones left Ginger before the last cd. i also don't know if the other guy from Ginger (Laney?) is going to be in the new GOW. i know that in the past 6 months to a year GOW played some shows in Vancouver and around the west coast of Canada. i haven't heard anything about a new cd or a full tour. personally i'm glad that tom and kevin are playing together again. i was never quite satisfied with ginger. always seemed like a not so good replacement. ang - --part0_908759396_boundary-- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Oct 1998 23:02:03 -0400 (EDT) From: James McGarry Subject: Re: Ginger Question On Sun, 18 Oct 1998 Blinded99@aol.com wrote: > i know that in the past 6 months to a year GOW played some shows in Vancouver > and around the west coast of Canada. i haven't heard anything about a new cd > or a full tour. Thanks for the info Ang! Good and bad news I guess... ...anything in Georgia Straight about these shows? I always thought they were too different in one way and not different enough in another, if that makes any sense at all. GoW was one of my favourite bands in early University... ...circa '85-86 or so. They did some neat-o free shows back then...
