Finch" Subject: BNL! I just got the *best* news! BNL will be doing their annual New Year's Eve show in Raleigh this year! Still unconfirmed but a friend of mine who is also really into the group heard Tyler say it in an interview on the radio (along with him getting married. huh?). She's friends with Ed and will see the boys when they play HORDE in Texas next weekend, so maybe I'll have confirmation by then. As many of you may remember, when I first joined this list I posted about logging 2000 miles this past December to follow BNL on their Christmas tour. That should give you some indication of how excited I am about the boys coming to me this year!!! I think my screams of joy scared everyone in the office. I actually jumped up and down. I don't usually jump up and down. At least not at work. And in other Canadian Music and how it relates to my life news (like you're all sitting on the edge of your seat ;-)...I blasted "Bargainville" in my car on the way to visit my folks last night and I'm telling you the more I listen to this CD, the more in love I am with Moxy! I definitely need to scrape up the money to buy the rest of their CDs. And that also goes for the Sarah Slean CD as well. I need to get that! And I'm definitely intrigued about the CD Jill posted Okay, I'm going to make an attempt to work in this heightened state of excitement! Oh and if this turns out to be true...I cordially invite all of you BNL fans to join me in Chapel Hill for the show. I even have a sofa bed for you to crash on. And that pretty much goes for non-BNL centered events as well :). Okay, back to work. rox ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ rdfinch@mindspring.com http://www.unc.edu/~roxfinch You get your Ph.D How happy you will be "Never is Enough" When you get a job at Wendy's --BNL And are honoured with Employee of the Month ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Aug 1998 10:33:22 -0400 (EDT) From: James McGarry Subject: BNL/Moxy Recs, was Re: BNL! And I'm definitely Roxanne, If you like BNL and Moxy... ...a little more folky you might want to try The Arrogant Worms. (and south of the 49th even more folky Trout Fishing in America...) Have I mentioned this before? :-) James. P.S. Careful observers would've caught longtime Sarah Slean fan Moxy's Jian Ghomeshi at the Sarah Slean/Tory Cassis last night. For those within driving distance who missed it... tsk, tsk.
