I'd like to put in a special "plug" for this coming Saturday night's performance at the Stone Gardens House Concert. I can't say enough good things about this concert setting and it's hosts, Lou and Karen Porazzo, fans become good friends, as are you all. I hope you will consider taking in this occasion, bring along your own libation, and experience Karen's beautiful "Stone Garden" along with the beautifully built chapel in which the show will be held. Come up early and take in the Meredith Arts Festival where regional artists of all craft diplay their creations for your perusal and purchase. A brief synopsis. Fresh back from sunny Colorado, where the 98 degrees of pleasantly dry heat barely stimulates the sweat glands. The Rocky Mountain Folks Festival is a uniquely compact, yet well-attended festival most true to the folk tradition as any I've attended so far. I enjoyed two seperate readings of my material, one on the main stage and one in the "Wildflower" tent, where I was recieved with arms open by the most respectful and appreciative of audiences, along with my fellow friends Harvey Reid (a master!), Joyce Anderson (exquistse and beautiful), and Ellis Paul (sultry and sweet, as always) along with many other luminaries of the acoustic millieu. John Prine's graveled wizardry of the folk tale, and Greg Brown's bear-growl were but two of the moments which inpired in me renewed inspiration and aspiration. My deepest thanks to the Festival staff for their extended efforts in making me feel welcome and honored, and to all my new friends from across this great land. And to top it off, I was awarded a lovely new Taylor guitar for my troubles. A journey well worth taking .. !! Thanks to all who extended their kind thoughts and well wishes - you were right there with us . ... and as always ... THANKS FOR READING THIS FAR!
