I'll exercise a bit of "syllabic economy" here and cut right to the chase:: Here's the haps: JUL 17 7p GUISSEPPE'S, Meredith, NH 603-279-3313 JUL 18 9p THE DOLPHIN STRIKER, Portsmouth, NH 603-431-5222 JUL 20 9p MURPHY'S, Newbury, NH 603-763-3113 JUL 22 6p GRITTY MCDUFF'S Portland, ME 207-772-2739 Gritty's Sundays are legendary! ON A CIVIL NOTE: There's no question that one of the topics around the water cooler these days is the price of gasoline. I, as likely many others, have been receiving countless unsolicited emails from those promoting various forms of fiscal disobedience in an effort to rally forth and fight the oil industry's monopoly over our freedom of movement, charging tooth and nail for every mile we can eek out of a gallon. Though I'm not a fan of such unrequested solicitations, one suggestion so rang true in it's simplicity that I have found myself putting it into practice without any extra thought or effort That suggestion is simply this: Do your business with the no-name sellers as often as possible and avoid doing business with the big name companies. It's not hard to do, cost no more, if fact quite often less, and if enough folks adopt this practice, perhaps we will learn exactly how much influence these megalithic oil barons have on the market. They will either throw their weight around and thus squeeze the small folks out of the business, put a hard-line clamp on the price of fuel and wind up with a court battle of MicroSoft proportions, or go with the flow and keep their rates within reason so as not to incite a modern day capitalist revolt. I am not an evangalist for the mom & pop economy, as are many with good cause and intent. I simply go with a good value, and there is little good value in any seller's market industry .. hence, what a grand experiment it would be, yes? Rave on good people.
