Collioure is an old fishing port near the Mediterranean sea. I managed to see them at balance time. The stage was installed in the moats of the castle. So you have to imagine walls all around the area. I was on seated on the top of the wall and it was really nice to see Valerie and others playing little parts of their songs. I felt so alone that I imagined they was playing just for me. :-) Well, I could have said it was enough to hear 2 or 3 songs played this way, but the main stuff was in the evening of course. A band called Giovanni played first. I don't remember any valuable things about them... Jean-Pierre and Fabrice were among the crowd moving from the bar to the middle of the area, chatting with people. Valerie arrived later and stayed close to the van (which was the one they used to drive from Paris I guess). At 11pm it was their turn to jump on the stage. The frist part of their set was almost lively rock songs. Maybe it was to ensure a nice transition with the previous band who played quite loudly with their electric guitars. Jean-Pierre was really exited playing guitar with all his feelings. Valerie was more quiet. I guess this is her way of being; taking care of her voice and playing her acoustic guitar lovely. Fabrice enjoyed his music played with the bass machine. We've got "Je vous ai tué ce matin" played only by Jean-Pierre and Valerie. JP was seated with his electric guitar to play softly while Valerie kept her hands on the microphone. Great! When they stopped their set, we have got only one more song for the encore :-(. There was not so many people in the crowd and some of them were really exited by the music in front of the stage. Some others were more quiet. I think of most of the people who came here haven't heard about AdL before. Maybe I'm wrong, but it was difficult to feel something really strong between the band and the crowd. At the end of the show, Fabrice and Jean-Pierre stayed arount to chat with people. Valerie stayed in the van :-(. I didn't try to chat with her on the afternoon, thinking it was not the good time... and after the show it was too late. So I rode back to Toulouse with my motorbike with this bad feeling. I should have talked with her on the afternoon... The good news is that I managed to get a nice poster they have used to advertise the show. It is made up of the Immobile CD cover with "autour de lucie" written on the bottom over a beige strip. This poster stands now in my house!
