I don't know for sure but the schedule on the site is the one provided by Nettwerk the day before they flew to the US and it was considered definitive then. > last question--how are the remixes on the Chanson Sans Issue > single?? Very far from the original song. You have one of them on the american pressing of _Immobile_, it is the most fidel one (it was done by G. Martin, the album producer). The rest of the songs are completly different, most of the time only Valerie's voice is kept from the tapes. If you don't like techno music you shouldn't bother with this release, IMO. One word about this smoethon thing. A message was posted to the list a couple of days ago, I knew (and agreed) about it. This is definitely not spam. Mike's article has been clear about what the smoethon is, I think, but if you need any explanations please send me a message privately and I will be happy to provide them. If you are a newcomer to the wonderful world of smoe :-) it might sound a bit strange to read such a plea for money so soon. Let me rephrase it again, you don't have to give anything I won't eject you from this list if you don't! It is just a way to say "thank you" to Jeff and help him keep all these wonderful lists alive. On a final note, you might be interested in knowing that a mailing-list for discussions on the Lilith Fair festival (tickets, artists, CDs, ...) has been recently created on (you guess it!) smoe. The announcement message was: - --------------------- Announcing lilith-fair-fans, a email list devoted to Lilith Fair '98. The purpose of the list is to serve as central place for Lilith Fair questions and discussion. Topics include venue information, ticket sale days and prices, meeting at Lilith Fair, vendors, artist confirmations, etc. etc. Your one-stop Lilith-Fair info and discussion center. To subscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: subscribe lilith-fair-fans =or= subscribe lilith-fair-fans-digest if you prefer the digest version. When you sub you will receive a long file giving all the dates and venue information so far. The list is for both news and discussion concerning Lilith Fair. It also is a fan-run list and has no official relationship or endorsed relationship with Lilith Fair, Sarah or Nettwerk. Thanks, Jason Greshes, listowner Best, - -- Yves. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 4 May 1998 12:26:00 +0100 From: leslie.chinea@emimusic.com (leslie chinea) Subject: Re[2]: brouillons-digest V1 #12 ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Re: brouillons-digest V1 #12 Author: dave cohen at X-MAIL Date: 5/4/98 10:45 AM Wrote: >BTW does anyone know if AdL actually played at the >Borders in Bryn Mawr, PA as listed on the website, or was this >just listed in their potential schedule for the promo tour? Yes, the did play an acoustic set (Valerie, Jean-Pierre & Fabrice) in conjunction with WXPN this was back in February. They also played an acoustic set at the Luna Lounge in NYC which was packed beyond capacity. > luckily i had traveled up to NYC to seem them >at Arlene's Grocery; which by the by was video'd, has anyone >seen this tape??] If this was back in August of last year and the person had a small hand-held video camera that was probably their manager, Fred who has been saying he will send a copy of the vid to Nettwerk... >last question--how are the remixes on the Chanson Sans Issue >single?? I think they are all cool especially remixes. My favorite is by G. Martin. Other remixes are done by DJ Cam, Extra Lucid, Bang Bang, Le Monocle, Snooze, Dom & Nick... Keep checking Secret Sounds website at SecretLP@aol.com I think they may be doing added value with the purchase of any AdL release you get Chanson remix CD. I talked with Frederic (AdL's manager) yesterday and I have some good news. First I will have the complete US concerts schedule next week. I will post it here as soon as I get it of course. I can already tell you that they will do some lilith fair dates in early july on the west coast. For the european subscribers, we should see more of the band during the summer when they will play in a couple of festivals. More details as soon as I know them. Last but not least I would like to organize an IRC chat session witht the band the next time they come to Lille for a concert, on the 24th of may. Before making plans I need to know if there are enough peoples interested, so if you are please send a mail privately. Due to the time difference between the US and europe it would happen at roughly 10amET.
