The number of suscribers to this list is slowly growing but the trafic isn't overwhelming, that's an understatement. :-) As a way to ignite some discussions let's begin with the traditional question: "How did you discover Autour de Lucie?". I will anwer first: I bought their first CD after hearing "L'accord parfait" on the radio. I loved it at first listen but the album overall lacked strength for me. And then _Immobile_ was released and I was instantly hooked. I went on a one-week work trip with this CD only and kept playing it 10 times a day and never grew tired of it. Your turn! :-) Best, - -- | Yves Denneulin email: denneuli@lifl.fr | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Autour de Lucie webpage: http://www.lifl.fr/~denneuli/adl/adl.html | | "Les brouillons" the Autour de Lucie mailinglist infos at: | | http://www.smoe.org/lists/brouillons.info | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 03 Apr 1998 12:46:53 -0800 From: Zeb Bakken Subject: Re: Introduction I heard them at cd booth at a music store that carries a lot of indie stuff. And I am intrigued with that which is not american and even more so of that which is french, and the review of the albumn said they had pavementy guitar sounds and pavement = good. so that's why I decided to give a listen. Autour de Lucie = french = good. > I will anwer first: I bought their first CD after hearing "L'accord > parfait" on the radio. An association from Brest made a various artists K7 called "Simple as Them". So I bought it 30 francs (5dollar) and I discover "Ce que l'on tait" from Autour de Lucie. It's a version of the song more speed than the version on "L'echapee belle". Since that day I love Autour de Lucie... I saw the band live last saturday for the "Gala" of my school (ESIEA) and it was approximatively the same gigs than the other I saw at "la locomotive" a few months ago. Even if it was the first time they played with the new drummer it doesn't change a lot the gigs. Only "les brouillons" was played live differently I think because the drummer played with his hands on the cymbals. And Valerie is a beautiful girl... bye Gwendal Ps I don't think that AdL = Pavement... But I like Pavement too. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 4 Apr 1998 10:58:28 +0200 (MET DST) From: Yves Denneulin Subject: [ATOMlUM] Re: Introduction - --WSzgRc5xqb Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit [I think this message was for the list so I am forwarding it] - --WSzgRc5xqb Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit From: ATOMlUM Subject: Re: Introduction To: Yves.Denneulin@lifl.fr Cc: ATOMlUM@aol.com Date: Fri, 3 Apr 1998 21:25:48 EST In a message dated 98-04-03 13:34:41 EST, you write: << Hello there!
