Subject: LC @ Meet Me Cafe, 8/12 & 8/20

Hi everyone - 

     First, I wanna apologize for being so late with these write-ups.  Not
that reading these things is life or death for anyone on this list (who's on
this list anyway besides myself, Alex, Ed and Jack?), but still, they
should've been more timely.  Oh well, such is life I guess!

     Anywayz, this is a combined review of Lauren's last two shows at the
Meet Me Cafe on 8/12 and 8/20.  And just in case others aren't aware of it,
she's playing there again this Friday, 8/27.  So if any other fellow LC fans
are in the area, please show up and support Lauren.  Remember, though, the
cover is $5.  
     So how were the shows?  In a word, fun.  Lots of fun, actually.
They've been much more informal and loose than her last gigs at Luna Park,
which has made for some really fun sets.  The 8/12 show featured Corky James
on guitar, while the 8/20 show featured Stuart Mathis on guitar, marking his
second public appearance with Lauren.  It's not known who'll be playing with
her this Friday, but either way, she'll be accompanied by a great guitarist.  

     Setlist wise, she again added a few new twists.  During the 8/12 gig,
she played "You Make Me Laugh" for the first time live, as well as a new
song, "Any Way The Wind Blows".  It isn't really new - it's a song she's had
for a while.  She said it was part of the "Seven Girlfriends" soundtrack,
but it was the first time she'd played it live.  So it was brand new for
everyone there.

     So without further ado, here are the setlists for both shows.  Hope to
