I've attached it to this e-mail as a file extension, viewable in any basic text editor (Notepad, Write etc.) because my e-mail defaults to a proportional font (like Times New Roman) rather than the required fixed width, or monotype fonts for properly viewing tablature (like Courier New for PC, and Monaco for Mac.) This is my first tab, but I'm pretty happy with it. I'm also working on "Mojave Winters". - -dennis - --PART.BOUNDARY.0.17401.emout06.mail.aol.com.870111997 Content-ID: <0_17401_870111997@emout06.mail.aol.com.5847> Content-type: text/plain; name="MYLOVER.TAB" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Please Note: This file is the author's own work and represents their interpretation of the song. You may only use this file for private study,= scholarship, or research. = - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ A note on displaying guitar tablature: You should always have your word processor set to a fixed width or monotype font when viewing tab files. (Courier New for PC, Monaco for Mac.) Otherwise, your music notation will not align properly. =0D My Lover by Brenda Kahn from the album "Epiphany in Brooklyn" Sony/Chaos 1992 (52768) Lyrics and music =A9 1992, Warner-Tamerlane/through being cool (BMI) Used without Permission. =0D Tabbed by Dennis McHenry II, July 28th, 1997. =0D D5 A5 D5 A5 D5 A5 D5 = e|-----------------------|-----------------------|-----------------------= | b|-----------------------|-----------------------|-----------------------= | G|-----------------------|-----------------------|-----------------------= | D|-----12------7-///-12--|-----12------7-///-12--|-----12------7-///-12--= | A|-----12------7-///-12--|-----12------7-///-12--|-----12------7-///-12--= | E|-10-------5------------|-10-------5------------|-10-------5------------= | (slide slowly) (slide slowly) (slide slowly)= Note: Let the root notes ring through the chords as you play. =0D The guitar repeats like that with the following lyrics: =0D My lover likes to be alone My lover likes to be alone He thinks the world is his special place where no one else can go =0D This is the little bit that breaks into the chorus: =0D A5 A/G5 e|-----------------------| b|-----------------------| G|-----------------------| D|-7-----7-----7---5-5---| A|-7-----7-----7---5-5---| E|-5-----5-----5---5-5---| =0D And the chorus itself (open position chords:) =0D G And I'd do =0D A Anything =0D D G To be in his arms =0D GMajor AMajor DMajor EADGbe EADGbe EADGbe 320033 x02220 xx0232 =0D The only other thing I can think of now is the little solo guitar break p= layed after the chorus': =0D sometimes played E|-5--7--10-(wait)-8--| =0D sometimes played E|-5--7--8--10--| =0D - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ =0D I'd type out the rest of the lyrics, but they're in the CD jacket.
