On the first complete listen, even through iTunes on my crappy laptop speakers, the verdict is: frickin' genius. Even better than I thought it was going to be (and I thought it was going to be GREAT). I absolutely love the production, especially the backup choir. This record (and tour) is going to be huge. At the Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis last weekend, Susan wowed the industry with her performances of songs from it ... I would be shocked if a label didn't pick it up soon. Go forth and download now! :) - -- =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== hear at the HOMe House Concert Series http://hom.smoe.org =============================================== HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at World Cafe CDs http://worldcafecds.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 02 Mar 2007 19:40:30 +0000 From: sekrauss@comcast.net (Susan Krauss (sekrauss@comcast.net)) Subject: Susan in San Francisco Susan will be at the Brava Theater in San Francisco on Friday March 16th. I've listened to it twice through, and then bits and pieces--not more because the CD player at home has abruptly stopped working, so I just had it on for commute time. :) I haven't seen Susan in a while, so all the songs are new to me. So far, "Heaven So Small" is my favorite, with "Forgiveness" and "Our Father" close behind, but they're all good. And "Our Father" is unbelievably catchy.
