Officials are treating it as a homicide. Robert was the unofficial 'mayor' of Old Town, leading a movement to rebuild and revitalize an area of downtown that had fallen on hard times. His gallery sparked a rennaissance of sorts, and several other galleries, businesses, and restaurants had begun to flourish in the area. The Creole offers live acoustic music in an intimate, unique setting. They've hosted countless folk, jazz, bluegrass, and world music artists, as well as dramatic presentations, poetry readings, and of course, art and photography exhibits. If you are so inclined, keep Robert's partner Meegan, and the rest of his family, in your thoughts, as well as all the other passionate visionaries out there who support the acoustic music scene. This city has lost a real treasure.
