How are you all? The list has been rather quiet of late, so I just thought I'd post this mini-review. Yesterday I listened to the CD "May I Suggest" by cabaret singer Joan Curto. Joan has a nice voice and the CD is well-produced, however her cover of Susan's songs - the title track and "Much at All" - are less than stellar. Joan's voice is far less fluid on these tunes than the melifluous voice we're used to hearing (that of the divine SW). I enjoyed Joan's rendition of "Much at All" moreso than the title track, but that may be because it came later in the CD and I may have been more used to her vocal stylings at that point. The only cover of a Susan Werner song I've really enjoyed so far is Michael Feinstein and Lee Lessack's version of "May I Suggest" on Lessack's "In Good Company" CD. You may recall that Susan sings "Blue Guitar" with Lee on the CD as well. May I suggest you purchase it if you have not done so already? ;-) Peace, Chuck Ellingson Milwaukee, WI "We must come to see that peace is not merely a distant goal we seek, but it is a means by which we arrive at that goal... We must pursue peaceful ends through peaceful means." Rev.
