When I saw Susan at Curtis Arboretum in August 2002, she closed the show with "Wouldn't It Be Loverly?" on guitar. After the show I said to her, "How did you *ever* think of doing that?" She said she had just been fooling around with the song a few days earlier and had noticed a gospel feel to the song that she had never noticed before. I've seen her do it several times - sometimes on guitar, sometimes on piano. I prefer the piano version; at Joe's Pub she did it on piano with a band, following a solo, plaintive and sincere version of another MY FAIR LADY song, "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" (with the gender *not* changed, thank you!).
