That made me realize I've been a Susan fan for 10 years too! I first saw her when she opened for Mary-Chapin Carpenter at the 1995 Riverbend Festival here in Chattanooga (http://riverbendfestival.com/); and last night was the first night of Riverbend 2005, so that's 10 years ago. Time flies! Luckily, she also got to perform her own concert later in the week at my favorite stage at the festival (the big stage is a barge docked along the river, whereas most folk singers are at the amphitheatre stage that's under a bridge, nice and cool in the southern heat). I became a fan from the beginning, although I can't remember which song was actually the FIRST; I definitely remember her singing "Man I Used to Love" and telling the story of being at a previous Riverbend (thus, "it was June in Chattanooga"). I'm pretty sure she hasn't been back here since 2000 (Lee can verify this... we were living in Murfreesboro from 2000-2004 so we missed Riverbend 2001-2003 and I may be wrong). We were packing up to move to the Boro on Saturday (the last night of Riverbend) but HAD to take a break to go see Susan perform that Wednesday. Haven't caught her in concert since. :( Laura in Chattanooga (waxing nostalgic....) In conjunction with this concert, a CD will be issued by Lee Lesack who sings duets as listed below. Note that Susan sings on Blue Guitar and also Lesack and Michael Feinstein team up to sing May I Suggest. Other names that pop out - Stephen Schwartz who wrote the music for Wicked; Amanda McBroom who wrote The Rose and also Errol Flynn a song that I heard Christine Lavin perform. I imagine the show will consist largely of duets by many of these people: 1. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - w/Nita Whitaker 2. The Look Of Love - w/Susan Egan 3. Sweet Mystery - w/Jon Philip Alman 4. Never Saw Blue Like That - w/Mary Jo Mundy 5. Open Arms - w/Brian Lane Green 6. Bring Back Romance - w/Ann Hampton Callaway 7. Here's To You - w/Johnny Rodgers 8. Summer Wine - w/Joanne O'Brien 9. Vincero Perdero - w/Franc D'Ambrosio 10. If You Go Away - w/Maureen McGovern 11. For Good - w/Stephen Schwartz 12. Blue Guitar - w/Susan Werner 13. Let It Be Me - w/David Burnham 14. The Rose - w/Amanda McBroom 15. Vincent - w/Ken Page 16. Stay The Night - w/Stacy Sullivan 17.
