These are all benefit concerts for The Ark. It takes place Wednesday, July 13 * Sunday, July 17th. Heres the schedule: 40-YEAR FLING BENEFIT CONCERT SERIES: PLEASE NOTE!: Program subject to change. Watch our website at theark.org for updates. We expect the line-up to become even more fabulous. WEDNESDAY, JULY 13: Maura OConnell, John Gorka, and The Chenille Sisters with opening act Matt Watroba THURSDAY, JULY 14: Christine Lavin, Susan Werner, Dar Williams, and Cheryl Wheeler with opening act Jan Krist FRIDAY, JULY 15: Michael Cooney, John McCutcheon, and Tom Paxton with opening act Trout Fishing in America SATURDAY, JULY 16: Greg Brown, Mr. B, and Garnet Rogers with opening act Kitty Donohoe SUNDAY, JULY 17: LOCAL GONE NATIONAL night featuring Mustards Retreat, Peter Madcat Ruth, Catie Curtis, and Josh White, Jr., with opening acts RFD Boys and Gemini. Tickets for all five Forty Year Fling nights go on sale to the public May 21, 9 a.m. through the Michigan Union Ticket Office. Members at the duo ($100) level and higher will be able to order advance tickets BY MAIL (we will send you an order form). If you are interested in becoming an Ark member please call (734) 761-1800. Tickets for July 13-July 16 are $35 for general admission and $45 for reserved seats. Tickets for Sunday, July 17 are $17.50 for general admission and $22.50 for reserved seats. Series tickets (all five nights) are $140 for general admission and $180 for reserved. We will close out the 40-Year Fling with a free event on Monday, July 18: INVITATIONAL OPEN STAGE This night is a celebration of The Arks history. The music will start at 7:30 p.m. and go well into the night. Its an Open Stage featuring Ark performers who have left the stage for many reasons*financial, religious, retired, went to jail.
