Thought I'd pass this letter from Vic Heyman along, because Rachel Bissex was a friend of mine as well... as are Tom, Cary, and several others involved in this project. Rachel's mainstage set "comeback" at Kerrville last summer was an amazing thing, full of the sheer joy of living and performing, in one of her favorite places on Earth. This is worth your time and $$... Paul <> ************ It takes 43 muscles to frown, and only 17 to smile... He just called me to thank me for the CD, and his first comment was on the mixing and sound quality, as that's what he always listens to first - and he was impressed (as I impatiently waited for his reaction to the music itself). He then said that he had an old (LP) album called 'New Faces of 1952' that contains a song called 'Guess Who I Saw Today' written by June Taylor (not of the dance group) that he'd always loved, and he said that Susan's CD completely captured that same mood/essence, and he found that amazing from a young performer. Then he finally got around to telling me that he LOVED the CD, and wants to see her perform at the earliest opportunity. Always fun to get another Believer! Anyway, I gushed to him for a while about her, and mentioned 'Give Me Chicago Any Day', as he's a transplanted Chicagoan, and he about lost it, wishing he could hear it. Since SW won't be at the Ark again any time soon, is there anybody out there who could steer me to a recording of that song so I could share? E-mail me off list.
