Thanks, Gwen and Meredith, for jumpstarting my frozen memory! Truly, Susan's "stand and sing" version of "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve" was something I would have hated to have missed. Since New Year's Day is Brian's and my anniversary, that song is very special to us. I wondered about the improv-or-not-ness of "...Brain," too, Gwen. Also, like you, I figured when I read Meredith's post that those numbers you mentioned were performed in the first show only. (What a unique experience to see Susan perform back-to-back shows like that, Meredith and woj!) As for Spamalot, I guess I should look into getting tix, eh? (Hope it's not too late!) Happy 2005, all! HAH! Foolish me! I should know better by now than to expect >the same-ol same-ol from Mme Werner. Indeed! Even if the set lists are similar, the shows are always unique in their own way. >While I don't remember Barbed Wire Boys or Big Car (early show, perhaps?), Yes ... sorry, I couldn't remember which songs were unique to each show, so I just listed all the ones I remember hearing over the course of the evening. >Does anyone know if the "Only Had a Brain" duet was planned, or did it >just morph into a great moment? It was planned -- it happened in each show. As Susan noted afterwards, 2005 marks the 100th birthday of Harold Arlen, who composed the songs in _The Wizard Of Oz_, so she and Dan figured they might as well kick off the celebration themselves. :) >Meth & Woj: Okay, okay. It's in process. I tried several times to contact Simona, and am still interested in her artwork for the cover, but if not I have a backup ready to go. I'm mastering the tracks presently, getting the levels matched up and cleaned up, so this thing will surface soon, I promise. One thing I need to consider is duplication time and numbers. I'd like to get an idea on roughly how many copies I'll need to run off, or if I'll have to send this out to be duped. Could you all send an email to me privately, with the subject line simply "SW Tribute cd", and in the message just indicate how many copies you may be interested in? As mentioned before, my time is free, materials will be just under $4.00 per copy, and I'll just tag on a flat $3.00 shipping/insurance fee, so count on $7.00 each.
