["Chuck Ellingson" Subject: Cinegrill Hi, fellow believers! I've just returned from Las Vegas where I had a fourth-row seat for Celine Dion's "A New Day" spectacular at Ceasar's Palace. The show reminded me of David Bowie's "Glass Spider" tour in that the dancing was stupendous and the music was topnotch but there were usually SO many things happening all at once that it almost led me down the sensory overload path. I wish I could see Susan at Cinegrill this weekend, and if anyone from the list is going, PLEASE give us a complete report afterward! There were no performances there in January when my partner, Brian, and I stayed at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, but if it is as classy as the rest of the joint, it should be good. Our room was elegant and spacious (but cold, temperature-wise), as was the rest of the hotel. Is anyone else planning to ring in 2005 with Susan at Davenport's? I think I've convinced Brian that New Year's Eve in Chicago with Susan would be an excellent way to celebrate our 13th anniversary. We saw (and met) one of Brian's favorite performers, Brian Lane Green, when he did his cabaret show at Davenport's a few years ago. (He did the show directly after starring as Joseph in the Lloyd Webber-Rice Technicolor Dreamcoat extravaganza at the Royal George Theatre. I don't know where he found the energy!) Anyway, please let me know if your going to see Susan at Davenport's if you plan to attend the earlier or later of the shows. I think Brian and I will attend the latter, but if the opportunity to meet more believers presents itself at the earlier show, I may change my mind. Keep believin'!
