I had a chance to see De-lovely and thought it was fairly well done. The weakest part, in my opinion, was the way we meet Porter at an old age at the beginning of the movie (and several times throughout the movie) seeing his career through his own mind with the help of Jonathan Pryce (a fine actor) as an impresario. I could have done without those extra scenes. I really enjoyed the love story, the devotion Porter and his wife had for each other, how she stuck by him and his unconventional situation involving his young men on the side. The music was good. Like you, I enjoyed hearing Kevin Kline singing. His singing was less than melodious however Porter's was as well... so it works. So.. Ron, will you be making the trip to Boston in October to see Susan play at Scullers Jazz Club??? How long ago was it that you were on the east coast and we met you before one of Susan's shows?
