There were a couple of funny exchanges from the state. At one point, Susan took requests. A bunch of people yelled out a bunch of songs. Finally one person said, "Play what you want!" A voice from the back rang out "She always does." That voice belonged to Camryn Manheim (from the Practice). All these years of going to LA and I had my first official celebrity sighting. She was sitting in reserved seats so presumable she knows Susan. After "Your side of town" she tried to talk about the "sides" of LA. She asked what the Valley was known for and everyone yelled out "THE PORN INDUSTRY." susan in alameda HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at World Cafe CDs http://worldcafecds.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 May 2004 18:13:41 -0700 From: "Ron Rosen" Subject: Re: McCabe's > I had a great time at the LA McCabe's show despite the fact I didn't get to > meet Ron. She was sitting in reserved seats so presumable she knows Susan. After I saw her sitting in the back at intermission, I suspected it was Camryn who yelled out the reply. Camryn knows Susan and often comes to McCabes to see her. The first time I saw her there, she was with Keb Mo. I know that Susan and Jane went out to dinner with Camryn and Keb after the show. The last few times Keb has shown up, but Camryn had been missing. I asked Keb how he had discovered Susan. He said that a friend had given him a copy of Time Between Trains. I suspected the friend was Camryn. Unfortunately, there were several unused reserved seats at McCabes that night. > After "Your side of town" she tried to talk about the "sides" of LA. Check out for info on Leslie. I would have liked to see Susan there -- I've been there three times so far during trips, catching Gorka, Lowen&Navarro, and Tommy Emmanuel, so I'm not doing too bad so far... Colin Hay (Men at Work) was there at the T.E. show...
