Actually, it was billed as ''Falcon Ridge Presents.'' The original email came from FRFF, and here's how it began: "Hello Folks, I'm crossposting this info to just a few of the folk and bluegrass listservs where I thought it would be of interest. Individuals can also sign up to get this very occasional, once in a while E newsletter. 1 - Falcon Ridge Presents Summer in December - a series of concerts you won't want to miss if it is coming to a place near you in our first season of winter fare." I think the answer to Simona's question is that the winter tour was not intended as a ''preview'' of the summer festival in the sense that it was not a promise that all the performers would be there in July. In addition, we cannot assume that Susan was not invited to FRFF. For whatever reason, she may have chosen not to participate. I don't have any inside information on this at all, but my feeling as someone who is involved with putting on a folk festival is that the reason for the notable omissions from this year's Falcon Ridge lineup (Susan's not the only one) may have something to do with the big names they've brought in this year. Richard Thompson and Arlo Guthrie do *not* come cheap. Personally, I'd rather see Susan and Erin McKeown on the bill instead, but this is obviously the way Anne Saunders wants to celebrate Falcon Ridge's 15th anniversary, so hey. I bought my ticket back in December, so I'm going to be there anyway!! I'm sure it'll still be a lot of fun. =============================================== Meredith Tarr New Haven, CT USA mailto:meth@smoe.org http://www.smoe.org/meth =============================================== Live At The House O'Muzak House Concert Series http://muzak.smoe.org =============================================== HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at World Cafe CDs http://worldcafecds.com ------------------------------ End of believers-digest V7 #104 ******************************* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- This has been a posting from the Susan Werner believers-digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe believers-digest" in the body of the message
