The music credits were so tiny I couldn't read them, and I dont know the name of the movie. The female lead looked like someone from Hollywood 90210 ( or some such zip code),that Aaron Speilling soap. There were some songs that sounded as though they might be Susan's..Has she done any songs for movies? By the way, I would like to thank whomever posted on this forum a notice about that concert, as well as yesterday's NYC Dave Van Ronk concerts. Thanks to you, I was able to see both. And, no, Christine didn't reprise the batons at yesterday afternoon's concert. It was a big > lovefest, a great tribute to a great man. In the '60s, Ed Sciacky was the folk guy on WXPN, and Gene Shay was on another station (WHAT?). I remember Shay's interviewing Sciacky on his show at that time, discussing whether Ed plays folk songs he doesn't personally enjoy, or whether he limits himself to his favorite songs. As I recall, Sciacky was the objective one, willing to play anything reasonable, while Shay explained his view that he would be true to himself only if he played songs he enjoyed. In those days, WXPN was operated by Penn students. Obviously, Sciacky graduated and went onto bigger and better things. But I don't know what they are. Can someone update me on what he did that has brought him so much acclaim? Thanks.
