Larry and Susan have given us the green light! Get those tracks to me folks. Simona's handling the cover art, Deb has offered to proof everything. I'll try to coordinate things from here, but please, I'm not trying to take posession of this project, so any suggestions of any kind are certainly welcome. I just want to help out where I can. Also, I'm thinking that for those contributing, you might want to make known what track you'd like to cover. That way we can make sure we don't have several versions of the same song (although that could be interesting). Thoughts? I can verify as well... Susan said her only concern was to "keep it under the radar", so it doesn't somehow raise the spectre of royalties, etc. Not that Rounder Records is going to be sponsoring a Believers Tour anytime soon... Had a great show at Calvin's tonight, including the debut of a brand new Jenkins guitar with an offset soundhole, with a KICKASS low end sound... She also played "Got To See The Body" again... shaking her head halfway through the song, saying "I swear I wrote it 4 years ago!!!" And Suzie Tee and I aided the stage patter, by providing Susan with some "Leight Sleeper" earplugs, manufactured by the Leight Company... which she showed and talked about after playing "Light Sleeper" (of course), and gave them away to "the first person who can name the city in the United States with the highest amount of sleep per capita..." Which turned out to be Des Moines, Iowa (after some prompting).. And the encore featured Susan on guitar, with a visiting opera singer performing an Italian aira... and Susan was DIGGING it... which was then followed by "La Vie"... And for you Kerrville fans, Susan will be performing the 1st weekend (Memorial Day Weekend)... Woohooo!!! Ah, such fun.... so nice, seeing her again, again... I seem to remember a comment by Mosh (or Woj?) a while back, about Susan someday coming out with a CD of 12 different versions of "St Mary's Of Regret," since it was on multiple albums...
