It's always nice to see her there, as it's a place she says she always dreamed about playing at when she was a kid growing up in Iowa. Heard a new song that she said she'd just finished that day - "I Got to See the Body" - an addition to the "troubled" portion of the romantic song cycle, based on a woman who wants to see the "body" of the woman he left her for. Very gritty, and obviously an experiment in a truly Susan-esque blues style. Other highlights for me - an amazingly beautiful rendition of St. Mary's of Regret, and Sorry About Jesus - even though I've seen her perform those many times, she brings more and more passion to them each time. As her 38th (?) birthday approaches in April, I can't help but notice the subtle changes in her style - more gritty, a little more exasperated, more wit than ever, and a wisdom that sets her miles apart from that shy girl we see at the end of the DVD, practically hiding behind the microphone. I remember the days when she had a kinky perm and wore pastel colored skirts and blouses, to the streetwise days of leggings and leather jackets, to now - playful, yet earthy and simple and absolutely the epitome of beauty. Thanks Susan, for another amazing concert. Eek. My apologies... I did not read this note carefully before replying *sheepish look*. My statement does not apply to Kazaa Lite, as the poster mentioned.
