Hi, This might be of interest to some believers, since it involves one of our own. :) Sunday, February 9 at 4 pm CADENCE CARROLL with KELLIE LIN KNOTT We're really excited to present two new voices from our area, who just happen to be really cool people, too. (Forgive me for cribbing from the press kits for the next few paragraphs ... :) With guitar and djembe in hand, Cadence Carroll is a regular feature performer at venues up and down the east coast. She has opened for such artists as Susan Werner, Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer, Greg Greenway, The Kennedys, Ellis Paul, Einstein's Little Humunculus, Karen Savoca and Peter Heitzman and many more. When she's not performing her own music, Cadence can be found providing support as a back-up percussionist and vocalist. She has played professionally with Vanida Gail, Hugh Blumenfeld, The Kennedys, Ina May Wool, and she is currently a member of the Terence Martin Band. She's also been known to jump onstage at a moment's notice with almost anyone who asks for a little drumming. Her first full-length CD, _Evolve_ was produced with The Kennedys. Cadence participated in the New Artist Showcase at Falcon Ridge last summer, and got a very respectable number of votes from the crowd. She puts on a wonderfully engaging live performance, perfect for warming up a winter's afternoon. http://www.cadencecarroll.com Kellie Lin Knott got her feet wet as an eight year old back up vocalist with her father's top-forty bar band. More than a decade later she is still making music, and is often found trying out her latest songs in the subways of her adopted hometown of Boston, where she is a student at Berklee College of Music. As a songwriter, Kellie has been most heavily influenced by the storytellers, such as Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Susan Werner, and Nanci Griffith. With musical roots that stretch back to everything from jazz and cabaret to bluegrass and pop, Kellie's shows are an eclectic set of melodic, groove driven acoustic originals. Her performances are intimate, energetic, and often times highly interactive. (In a living room setting, we can only imagine just how interactive... ) While we don't wish to presume, we do hope Cadence and Kellie can get together to do some songs together -- that sort of thing is always fun! http://www.kellielinknott.com As usual, the suggested donation is $10 (yes -- two great artists for one low price), and we will have a table overloaded with yummy snacks.
