Colleen is amazing. I've seen her perform once and seen Martin twice and while he does this annoying falsetto thing at the end and middle of EVERY SINGLE SONG! She sings her heart out and writes beautiful and simple songs. She doesn't show off at all, but as a result really shines. Martin could learn a lot from that! ~Simona > Yes, Colleen is Martin's little sister, and IMNSHO > she's the one with the > talent in the family. I don't think they've ever opened for Susan. But they should! She'd probably find some way to have fun with them on stage. They are really energetic (two women and one man) and since all of them sing, songwrite and play instruments you get a great dynamic and a nice variety of melodies and lyrics. Their song "Lies" has gotten a lot of airplay on WYEP Pittsburgh. I would bet the Moxy Fruvous fans on this list would love them. ~Simona *** U2 on LAUNCH - Exclusive greatest hits videos http://launch.yahoo.com/u2 HELP! owner-believers@smoe.org Send mail to believers@smoe.org Susan's CD's are available on your desktop at World Cafe CDs http://worldcafecds.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Nov 2002 12:19:00 EST From: PBCoustic@aol.com Subject: Re: the waifs The Waifs played at the Kerrville Festival last May, and kicked butt... their main guitarist has some real chops... they're apparently one of the major known groups in Australia, touring constantly. I also met/heard another Aussie at southwest Folk Alliance this fall -- Sophie Raymond... a real firecracker, with lots of talent...
