This show was awesome as usual. The opener, Rachel Davis, really blew us away. The range in her voice is amazing. We've been playing her cd a lot! This is TWICE now that I have seen someone who opened for Susan (or for anyone for that matter) get an encore. Last time it happened, it was Colleen Sexton (Martin's Sister?) and she was opening for Susan at the Circle of Fiends 2 years ago ("Circle of Fiends - only in jest Jake - - it's certainly anything but). Does anyone remember the totally hilarious song that (I think) Susan closed out the first set with? I hadn't heard it before and I remember loving it very much. But that's all I remember about it. Oh and one more thing - does anyone know if Susan plans to place "(Bring on the) Beautiful Chains of Love" anywhere in the romantic song cycle? That would be a great addition, maybe immediately following Cole Porter? I love that song, but I've never heard her perform it anywhere in the cycle before. In fact, I don't think I've heard her perform it since she started talking about the concept of the cycle, It was great seeing everyone as well as Susan again. Steve&Karen p.s.
