YOu need the latest version of quicktime (not the one listed) to get sound that doesn't sound like Susan is singing under water. I'm not sure if they work b/c I can't stream at work and at home I've got only dialup nowadays. Assuming you mean hard-to-get or unreleased material, Amazon downloads has a version of ""Born A Little Late" from the Martha's Vineyard Singer/Songwriters' Retreat. They also have three NNF tracks but I'm assuming you don't need those ;-) . I've noticed that the Albums pages at SusanWerner.com >have buttons to link to MP3s, but the links aren't active Actually, SOME of the links on susanwerner.com DO work. Different parts of them may break in different browsers: - - they are all javascript calls; if your browser doesn't do javascript they won't work - - some of the mp3 file names include spaces, periods, apostrophes and parentheses - which will also break in some browsers - - some of the links are included in the javascript setup at the top of the HTML page but not actually coded as links within the page content itself (this is true for Midwestern Saturday Night) Also, some of the clips might be excluded for rights/royalty reasons or excessive bandwidth on the server; I'm not sure. What I can suggest is the following, if you are using Internet Explorer or Opera on a PC: For Time Between Trains: Old Mistake works For Last of the Good Straight Girls, all 3 (LOTGSG, St Mary's & Yes to You) work For Live At Tin Angel, all 3 (My Mother's Garden, Society Ball, & Lonely) work For Midwestern Saturday Night, the javascripted links to the 3 songs (Born A Little Late, Cole Porter, So Heavy) are set up at the top of the page but not included as an actual link. If you're using either browser on a non-PC platform, I don't know if the links above work. If you are using Netscape and are adventurous, "View Source" on each album page, look at the top section where the javascript is set up, and copy/paste the link into your browser, filling in the spaces with %20. This may get you the songs. - ----------- Otherwise, as I think may have already been pointed out, CDNow' site includes Wndows Media and RealAudio samples of all tracks from Time Between Trains. What brought this up was that I sent the lyrics to "May I Suggest" to someone - I have a habit of doing that, it seems! - and she loved the lyrics so much she said she'd couldn't wait to hear the melody. So I guess I'll have to see if all these neat-o programs on my new pc can make one for her. Thanks again, everybody! - -Tim - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carolyn Andre" > Actually, SOME of the links on susanwerner.com DO work.
