I felt bad that I didn't really give much of a review of the Madison Club Montmartre gig along with the review of the Rockford Memorial Hall gig. After all, it may have sounded, in an earlier post, as if I might actually post two reviews. The truth is, after two weeks had passed (and being the blonde that I am), I didn't recall all that much from the Madison gig. I DO remember that Susan played some songs in Madison (i.e., "Big Car," which Susan JAMS on!) that we did not hear in Rockford. Also, Therese's post reminded me that Susan asked for requests at Club Montmartre and, after a few moments of deafening silence, several requaests were offered. I asked for "Stationary" (which Susan took a pass on, unfortunately) and Tony, sitting right beside me, requested the song that Susan chose to play next, "My Mother's Garden." (Forgive me if that's not the exact title. It's been a long, busy week.) Also, I wanted to thank Earl for being so kind as to send email me the pic of him, Susan and me, and to offer to share it with anyone who would like to see it. (Earl commented that it's a little dark, which it is, but I think it gorgeously shows off the high octane smiles and the brilliance in our eyes after a wonderful performance from the inimitable Susan Werner.) If you'd like to see the pic, feel free to email me at chasellingson@yahoo.com (I store all my pics on Yahoo, due to the space restraints of hotmail/msn) and I'll email you a copy.
