I know, Ron, that you are speaking (at least somewhat) in jest. I hope you've learned, as I did a long time ago, that Susan is one of those remarkably unique persons about whom one should never make assumptions (or implications). She is a glittering, ever-morphing creature who is lucky enough and talented enough to make a lot of people very happy just by being the phenom she is. Is any song she writes truly autobiographical...? Is any song not? ;-) Chuckles >From: "Ron Rosen" >To: >Subject: Re: Sorry about Vinyl ? >Date: Mon, 20 May 2002 18:01:14 -0700 > >Chuck E. wrote: > > > I have the LP of the Christian performing artist Susan Werner (but >haven't > > listened to it yet). What was a nice Catholic girl like Susan doing at Luther >College, for god's sake? You may call me egotistical, but... I like to think that God brought both Susan and me to Luther for my sake. Her friendship meant a great deal to me back in '83 when I was acknowledging my affectional orientation in a fairly conservative environment. Susan helped to make that year the best year of my life. One of the things that hasn't changed in all the years I've known her is Susan's unselfishness. Another is her graciousness. When God puts special people in our lives, we need to cherish them. They're there for a reason. Peace, Chuck P.S. I'm sorry if anyone takes offense to my monotheistic statements. I will support your right to believe as you believe, and I hope you will support mine as well. "If men can run the world, why can't they stop wearing neckties?
